Would you like to spend the best time of the year with your four-legged friend and bring them along on vacation to Austria? At Wohlfühlhotel KERSCHDORFER in Tyrol, dogs are not just allowed – they are truly welcome! As a dog-friendly hotel in Austria, we are delighted when you visit us with your beloved pet.
Our dog-friendly hotel is peacefully located outside the town center, and right from the doorstep, you and your dog can set off into the stunning mountain world of the Zillertal.

Absolutely! We welcome dogs of all sizes and look forward to hosting you and your furry companion for a wonderful vacation in Tyrol.
Hiking & Activities with Your Dog in the Zillertal
No matter what you have planned for your vacation in Tyrol – whether it's hiking, golfing, or cycling – your dog can join you on many activities in the Zillertal.
At our dog-friendly hotel, we are happy to provide tips on dog-friendly hiking trails and play areas. With the beautiful landscape and open spaces, we can assure you: your dog will enjoy the time in the Zillertal just as much as you do!
After an eventful day, while you relax in the wellness area, your dog can comfortably nap in their bed in the room.
Good to Know – Your Dog’s Stay at Our Hotel in the Zillertal
Since we welcome both dog lovers and non-dog owners, we kindly ask you to follow a few guidelines to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests:
- Dogs must be kept on a leash in the hotel.
- Separate breakfast area – your dog is welcome to join you for breakfast.
- Please bring your own food and bed for your dog.
- Bowls and dog blankets are available upon request in the room.
- Dog towels are provided in the entrance area in case your furry friend gets wet.
- Maximum 2 dogs per room.
- Dogs on beds or sofas? Please no! The next guest might not be a dog lover or could even have an allergy. While we clean thoroughly, wet dog smells and pet hair can be difficult to remove completely.
- Cleaning fee: We charge €45 per dog per stay (excluding food). Any damages or additional cleaning costs will be charged accordingly.

Travel Tips for Guests from Outside Austria
Bringing your dog, cat, or ferret from a non-EU country? The following requirements must be met:
- Each animal must be microchipped.
- A valid rabies vaccination (at least 21 days old) is required.
- A veterinary health certificate, confirming a rabies antibody test and a declaration according to Article 25 (3) of Regulation (EU) No. 576/2013, must be provided.
- This declaration must be in German and English, printed in CAPITAL LETTERS. A template for this form is found in Annex IV, Part 3 of Regulation (EU) No. 577/2013.
- Minimum age: Dogs must be at least 7 months old to travel if all conditions are met.
Our Tip
Walking, hiking, and sniffing around – everything is more fun together!
The Zillertal is full of beautiful meadows, fields, and alpine pastures, actively farmed by local farmers. To ensure a good coexistence, we kindly ask you to pick up after your dog and dispose of waste at the designated dog stations.
The cows will thank you! The fresh milk, butter, and yogurt we serve at breakfast come directly from our local farmers. Enjoy the flavors of regional, sustainable products while appreciating the natural beauty of the Alps!
